Objectives:
This manual has been developed with two main objectives in mind: on the one hand, introducing the students into the basics of the hotel industry from a very practical approach by featuring the most common processes and procedures involved in the industry step by step and, on the other hand, coping with technical English by using both, a wide range of vocabulary, frequent among tourism professionals within the industry, and also a very descriptive language style, so that students can get to grasp the key concepts as well as their practical application.
Consequently this manual has been designed for students of English for special purposes who may later become, or are nowadays, professionals of this tourism industry.
NOTE: This manual pays special attention to the Reception Department.
